My name is Karen. I am the mother of two sons who are now teenagers (how did that happen so fast?) and the wife of a very wonderful husband. I work at home, as a blogger, digital designer, online business owner, and homemaker. Hestia is the Greek goddess of home and hearth.

This blog began as my own private written diary of practical tasks and wandering imagination. I decided I wanted to share this diary online, just for fun. It meanders through topics related to homemaking, cooking, gardening, psychology, mythology, folklore, art, dance, seasonal celebrations and meditations, a little practical magic, all the things that make up my daydreams and my day-to-day life! I'm exploring how the mystical and the practical fit together, I guess. My three cats keep me company while I blog.
